However, some have managed to wade through the pressures and struggles that have faced them and have some of the longest-lasting marriages in Hollywood. Here we look at some of the A-listers who have managed to make it work…

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi – Married 15 Years

In 2000, Portia de Rossi and Ellen DeGeneres met for the first time at a party, three years before Ellen started the infamous The Ellen DeGeneres Show as we all know it today. However, it took them four years to admit their feelings.

The couple went public about their relationship in 2005. However, they didn’t let anyone destroy the relationship they had built together and were married three years later in 2008, shortly after California legalized same-gender marriage.

Michael Caine and Shakira Baksh – Married 47 Years

The couple met through their shared love of Broadway and even starred together in the 1996 production of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. In 1997, the pair married and soon after, in 2002, welcomed their first child together. They also have twin girls who were born in 2009.

Keith Richards and Patti Hansen – Married 37 Years

The common stereotype about rockstars is that they’re unfaithful given that they have such a busy touring schedule and meet people from all over the world. That couldn’t be applied to Rolling Stones guitarist, Keith Richards, as he has been with his wife for 37 years.

(Left) Pinterest // @unityisneeded | (Right) Shutterstock // s_bukley
