Sophia Bush and Grant Hughes, who got engaged over the holidays, got married on Saturday in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The event was joined by some of the couple’s closest friends and family. Sophia and her husband, engaged for a year, took the vows to eternal commitment to each other. Confirming the news, the Tulsa County Court Clerk also informed that the couple bought their marriage license on Wednesday, June 8, and returned it on Monday, June 13.

The Venue

The wedding took place at a private home in downtown Tulsa, Oklahoma. In a statement to People Magazine, Sophia Bush said she was proud of her home state. She shared that she was proud to call Tulsa her hometown and felt incredibly honored that they got to celebrate their marriage with all of their family and friends. It was a special moment for them as she grew up there and had some of her fondest memories there. The two wed at the Philbrook Museum of Art, a historic villa of Italian Renaissance design. They wanted to read out the nuptials in a place full of love, history, and beauty, where they could really celebrate their love with all their friends and family. The idea of having a beach wedding or a big party just wasn’t for them.

The Attendees

On the guest list were celebrities like Aaron Paul, Colton Underwood, and Jordan Brown, and a few of Bush’s former teen-drama One Tree Hill co-stars, such as Danneel Ackles and Hilarie Burton. The duo got engaged a year ago when Hughes proposed to Bush while they were enjoying a vacation in Lake Como, Italy. The Chicago P.D. star took to Instagram to share the happy news. This is Sophia Bush’s second wedding. In 2005, she married Chad Michael Murray, her One Tree Hill co-star, for a brief period.
