When it really comes down to it, women don’t want a lot. We want freedom, we want happiness, we want equality, and we want clothing with pockets. Why is it so hard to find clothes with pockets around here? While men’s clothing is littered with pockets of all shapes and sizes, women have to carry bags and purses around with them to ensure they have everything they need. After all, where else are they going to put these items? In their non-existent pockets? When it came to this woman’s wedding day, she decided to take this matter into her own hands.
The Bride In Question
However, to truly understand this amazing story, we need to learn a little more about the bride. Eve Paterson became a viral name in January 2019 when she pictures of her wedding day were posted on social media. While those on the internet cooed over the venue and the table decorations, it was the wedding and bridesmaid dresses that really stood out from the crowd. That’s because Eve made sure that she and her bridesmaids were well equipped on her big day, and had all of the pockets they would need.
Not For Women
The English bride noted that she felt irritated and confused when she went to buy the dresses for her wedding. When her husband and her groomsmen went to hire their suits, they would never have expected to have an “add pockets” option as an extra. Men’s clothing and suits always come with pockets, but it has never been that way for women. Dresses and skirts almost always come without pockets, and Eve didn’t think that was fair. More than anything, it’s impractical.
Pockets For All
So, when Eve bought her dresses, she made sure to ask for them to be altered. She wanted them all to have pockets because women deserve to look good and be practically equipped at the same time. At the moment, Eve notes that women have the option of being one of the other, but rarely both. To make her wedding dress even more special, she had a piece of fabric from her mother’s wedding dress stitched to the inside of her pocket, which was later filled with snacks, lipstick, and her phone.
Eve is a genius for adding pockets to her wedding dress, but should she really have had to ask? We say pockets for all!
